VISA REQUIREMENTS :
Please prepare the following documents required for visa
registration :
1) Visa form (визовая анкета)*
2) Passport
3) Photocopy of Passport
4) Visa
5) Migration card
6) Photocopy of migration card
7) Prikaz of your year & highlight your name
8) 5 Matt photographs
9) 600 rubles
10) Registration Slip (Paper with boxes)
11) Photocopy of Visa

REGISTRATION WITH MMA

Step1
Go to Moslanka (11th floor), and queue up at Lenaʼs office. She will
print your contract which you would have to sign. You will then be
given your registration slip.

Step 2
You would then have to see Sveta to verify the payment of your
school fees & insurance. After verification, Sveta will stamp your
registration slip.

Step 3
Bring your registration slip to the deanʼs office (to Lena / Marina)

Payment Reminder (Updated)

If you would like to pay through T/T instead, the deadline given is before 15th August 2009.

There will be a fine for those exceeding the deadline.

Article #5 - Arrival in Moscow for Academic Year 2009/2010

Here are a few things to take note concerning the arrival of students in Moscow for academic year 2009/2010.

1. According to Mos-Lanka, all students must arrive before 1st September 2009.

2. If you arrive later than that, for every class you miss, you would need to pay and attend extra classes (otrobotka) on that subject.

3. Please also remember to register yourself 3 days upon arrival.

Article #4 - Hostel Payment

As mentioned in Article #3 - Tuition Fees & Hostel Fees 2009/2010, students with permanent hostels are encouraged to make payment via Telegraphic Transfer (T/T). Students that are not sure about their hostels can make payment in the bank at the 3rd Floor of MMA Dean's Office.

For other students, Mos-Lanka has designated on the 30th June 2009 to inform all the students about their hostel placements in the academic year of 2009/2010. Please stay tuned!

Below are the hostel fees for 2009/2010 academic year:

Spartivnaya Hostel
3 seaters - 35700 Rubles
2 seaters - 44100 Rubles
1 seater - 63000 Rubles

Kahovskaya Hostel
3 seaters - 33600 Rubles
2 seaters - 39400 Rubles
1 seater - 54600 Rubles

Non-MMA Hostels (Kuzminki, Yugo-Zapadnaya, Pushkin)
The fee for all non-MMA hostels is 2950 US Dollars.

Please take note that preference of hostels will be given to seniors (the more senior you are, the more choices you get).

Mos-Lanka's decision of hostel placement is final. Any inquiries or requests, please bring it up with Mos-Lanka's office (11th Floor, Right Wing, MMA Dean's Office building).

Article #3 - Tuition Fees & Hostel Fees 2009/2010

Mos-Lanka has already released the format of payment for the upcoming 2009/2010 semester. Please carefully observe all the procedures below to avoid complications.

1. Tuition fees payment must be made before 15th July 2009.

2. For each day late, a fine of 0.1% of total tuition fees will be accumulated into the total amount of payment needed to be made.

3. All tuition fees payment can only be made via Telegraphic Transfer (T/T). If in Malaysia, make payment in any banks in Malaysia. If in Moscow, payment can be made in the bank at the 3rd Floor of MMA Dean's Office.

After payment, please remember to bring along statement of payment issued by the bank to Moscow as a proof of payment.

Documents Required for the Nostrification Procedure:

1) The complete secondary education certificates (legalized) - original SPM, STPM and college certificates (if been to form 6 or college).
2) The notarized translation into Russian language of the complete secondary education certificates. 2 copies (all pages)
3) The notarized translation into Russian language of the national passport.

Recognition of Documents of Education - NOSTRIFICATION

Nostrification is required for the following cases:

- for admission to undergraduate courses if the applicant received higher secondary education document in schools outside of Russian Federation.
- for admission to postgraduate and additional education courses (internship, clinical ordinatura, aspirantura, doctorantura (Russia only), if the applicant received higher professional education diploma outside of Russian Federation.

TRANSLATION

All documents (including syllabus) must be translated into Russian. Translation of academic documents into Russian must be certified by the Russian Embassy or Consulate in the country where they were issued, or notarized in Russia.

Please note the following:
- The original document must have all necessary legalizations before translation.
- Any stamps, seals or legalization notices (including those on the reverse side of the document) must also be translated.
- The translation must be permanently attached to the original document by the translator.

Article #1 - Visa Extension


Dear Sechenovians,

Please take note that for the most of us, our visa will expire between the time frame of 26th August to 31st August 2009. Please take note of your visa expiry date, and do not come back to Moscow later than the given date. It is recommended to arrive at Moscow 3 days before the expiry date to avoid any immigration complications.

Upon arrival, please also remember to register yourself with the Dean's Office within the next 3 days (only working days are observed, excluding Saturday and Sunday).

Eg. If you arrive on the 28th of August (Friday), your 3 days will include Friday (28/08), Monday (31/8) and Tuesday (01/09).

FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A FINE OF MORE THAN 2000 RUBLES.

However, the option of extending the expiry date your visa is available. Here are the steps to extend your visa expiry date.

1) Prepare the following items:
- 600 Rubles
- 4 Passport Size Photos
- Prikaz (Student Name List of your course. Highlight your name)
- Photocopy of Passport
- Photocopy of Visa
- Photocopy of Immigration Card (Make sure the immigration stamp is visible)
- Photocopy of Permit (Long horizontal slip of paper)

2) Approach the Visa Office in the Dean's Office on the 11th Floor, and notify the ladies in the Visa Office that you would like to extend your Visa expiry date up till 11th of November 2009.

3) Submit all prepared items including your passport and original copy of all above mentioned documents. Remember to obtain the Dean's Office stamp from the Dean's secretary (Ask for directions to Prof. Renad Alyautdin's office).

4) Your new Visa will be ready for collection in approximately 2 weeks.
